Why an IPA-Villa in Florida?
I became an IPA-member in the year 2015 and made the first journey to Florida. Since then, I was able to make wonderful encounters within our big IPA-family on both sides of the Atlantic Ocean and help to enlarge it with new members and make friendships.
The concept of having a “preferential wire” to local colleagues on the vacation site and on journeys seemed great to me from the very start and has helped me already when I damaged my rental car on terrain.
Yes, one can hope to meet another IPA-member abroad by accident, or use our internal contacts.
The IPA-family can grow – new ones are welcome!
By the construction and the organization of the first IPA-Villa in Florida, I want to contribute enlarging our IPA-family and friendships, help more German-speaking IPA-members and their relatives (at discounted rates) to discover America for themselves and promote the international exchange.
In terms of price, Florida is a part of America that one can consider as comparably cheap and which disposes of a high life and security quality. There are good reasons why a growing number of people move to Florida since decades and in the meantime, it has become the third most populous state of the USA.
This is the look you get when decending over Miami. The international airport “RSW” in Fort Myers with a direct connection to Germany is only 40 driving minutes away from the vacation home.
Special characteristic Cape Coral
Neverthless, one has a lot of space to live and enjoy. You can barely perceive the more than 200,000 inhabitants of the city in which our IPA-Villa is situated.
Cape Coral has been planned in 1958 as a burgeois city with a unique particularity: 640 kilometers of waterways within the city area (Amsterdam 80 km, Venice 38 km).
640 kilometers (400 miles) of canals go through the city area of Cape Coral.
Inlcuding our IPA-Villa is situated at such an artificially created canal, the Aphrodite Canal.
This bears different advantages, such as fishing directly in front of the house. There are fish up to 50 centimeters long in the canal system. Moreover, you can make boat trips. From the waterside, you can see the city more beautifully than from the huge number of streets.
The IPA-Villa is built on the marked lot in Cape Coral. Terrace and pool are on the side of the evening sun. There are shopping possibilities only 2 driving minutes away – even an ALDI, among others!

Cape Coral has another particularity: It is the US city with the highest “rate of German citizens” – even if you can barely see it from the cityscape, you can hear it in the supermarket or when looking at the lot owners in the cadastral office. 😉
